Joshua Palmer
Joshua is a filmmaker, writer, and producer focused on exploring the depth of human connection, memory, and intimacy. After studying with Kevin Jerome Everson at the University of Virginia, he was one of ten filmmakers selected by master filmmaker Béla Tarr to participate in his directing intensive in Budapest, where Béla produced his short, Coda. He is in post-production on his debut directorial feature, The Eye.
Josh has produced short films, commercials, and a handful of independent feature films. He is working on his first international co-production, Yesterday the Eye Didn’t Sleep, between Lebanon, Palestine, and Belgium, for director Rakan Mayasi. He has been developing Preserves, with director Micah Ariel Watson. The project is the recipient of an SFFILM Award and was invited to Gotham Week Project Market.
At Woodward, Josh plans to edit his debut feature, finish the script for his sophomore feature, and write his first play.
