Alec Joyner
Alec is a writer, teacher, and scholar in New York City. His writing has appeared in MELUS, Public Books, Chicago Review of Books, and Full Stop. He currently serves as a lecturer in the core curriculum at Columbia University, where he received his PhD in English & Comparative Literature in 2024.
At Woodward, he will work on reframing his dissertation, Going to Pieces: The Laughter of the Other, as a trade book, and expanding a separate memoir/essay project on family and young adulthood.
