KJ Stewart
KJ is a playwright/director/clown with a deep curiosity about the relationship between text and performance and the mechanics of theatricality. They are interested in unapologetic queer storytelling that celebrates absurdity, excess, and disgust through a comedic lens. Their plays have been produced at spaces like The Tank and The Wild Project as part of the Fresh Fruit Festival. On stage, they have most recently performed as part of Clown Gym's Clown Flex series.
Their current project is a full-length play about competitive eating, reality television, and what happens to the human body when it spends six months on the living room couch.
