Regina Strayhorn

Regina Strayhorn (she/her) is a musician, writer, and casting professional based in Brooklyn, New York. She is a graduate of University of North Carolina School of the Arts BFA Drama program and a founding member of Bandits on the Run.

Bandits on the Run are an indie-folk-pop-americana outfit known for their vivacious performance style, genre-defying sound, soaring harmonies, and ability to make music-magic happen everywhere from subway platforms to concert halls. They've appeared at the Cambridge Folk Festival, Sundance, Floydfest, Summerfest Milwaukee, Americanafest, the F1 Singapore Grand Prix, and more. Bandits on the Run are known for their custom compositions for TV, Film, Theater, and beyond.

Currently Bandits on the Run, alongside actor musician Christopher Sears, are working on the musical adaptation of What’s Eating Gilbert Grape with Oscar nominee Peter Hedges, who wrote the novel and screenplay. As a casting professional, she has worked on several pilots and series for Hulu CBS, Amazon, Apple TV+, and HBO Max, most notably Dear Edward and And Just Like That, Season 2.

At Woodward, Regina and the Bandits will develop music for their indie folk repertoire and various musical theater projects, as well as enjoying the beautiful space to focus on administrative work that will progress their schemes to slowly take over the world!
