Ava Ahmadbeigi

Ava is a Ridgewood, Queens based audio producer and writer. She specializes in memoir and oral history and recently wrapped production on an Audible Original interview-based memoir about an Afghan woman’s escape from Afghanistan. Ava has been a most reliable producer-for hire for over 5 years, and is now working on her first large-scale personal project. At Woodward, she will be developing a story based on actual letters her mother wrote to her about how their family fell apart, and what led to their immigration from Tehran to NYC just two months after 9/11.

Ava is just back from a cross-country road trip—a throw-back to her StoryCorps Mobile Tour days— and is excited to be back home in NY!
