April Soetarman

April is an interdisciplinary artist, designer, and writer who creates public art, interactive installations, immersive theater, games, and designed objects. Her practice focuses on creating moments of delight, which she defines as the intersection of positive and unexpected. Her works have been exhibited by institutions such as the Seattle Art Museum, Seattle Office of Arts and Culture, and CultureHub NYC & LA, as well as anonymously installed in dozens of public spaces across the country.

At Woodward, she will continue to develop Working Artist Board Game, a board game about being a working artist under capitalism.
