Alex Hare

Alex is a director and writer of theater and film, with a focus on new musicals. Recent directing includes Topdog/Underdog (StageCenter Louisiana), The Judgment of Quintus (video game to be released later in 2024), and Capricorn 29 (micro-budget movie written with playwright Julia Izumi).

Alex received the SDC Foundation’s Charles Abbott Fellowship for musical theatre directors in 2020. Assistant credits include Broadway productions of School of Rock and Side Show. Columbia University alum.

This spring, Alex is doing post-production work for a short film, We Take Pictures, and writing for two new musicals in development.
