Rebecca Shaid

Rebecca is a multimedia reporter, photographer, and documentary filmmaker based in New York City.

She graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in Journalism, where she directed multiple short documentaries, such as her latest project in post-production, Beyond the Fantasy, which explores the intersection of art and sex work in Chicago.

Rebecca served as the impact producer for Woodward Member and Guest Resident alum Daniel Lombroso's award-winning short, "Nina & Irena." Now, she is co-producing his next feature-length documentary about male body modification, and will collaborate together with Lombroso during the Residency.

With a passion for creative storytelling, Rebecca is committed to amplifying her subjects through innovative approaches and a keen journalistic eye.
