Jen Chen-su Huang
Jen is a multidisciplinary artist, whose process-driven works interweave elements of craft tradition, language, history, and memoir. Her practice has been supported by fellowships through the Fulbright Commission in Taiwan, Luminarts, and the Textile Society of America, among others. She is currently a PhD candidate in Performance Studies at NYU Tisch, a part-time lecturer at Parsons School of Design, and an editor for the Bloomsbury Encyclopedia of World Textiles.
While at Woodward, Jen plans to meditate on the relationship between wave and weave and to slowly unravel the distinctions between text and textile, culture, and nature.
